Prepaid and Partial COD Terms
These terms apply to orders placed through https://themunchief.com/. We accept two payment types: prepaid and partial cash on delivery (partial COD).
Prepaid
Pay the full order total online using any of the payment methods shown at checkout. There is no extra discount for prepaid orders.
Who Can Use Partial COD
Partial COD is available when:
- your paid product subtotal, after discounts, is between ₹499 and ₹4,999;
- your pincode is serviceable for COD; and
- your contact number is verified.
Gift hampers are prepaid only, so the person receiving the gift never has to pay on delivery.
How Partial COD Works
Pay part now, the rest on delivery.
Payable now: an advance of 30% of the product subtotal, rounded up to the next whole rupee, plus all shipping charges and the ₹39 COD service fee.
Payable on delivery: the product subtotal less the product advance. Shipping and the COD fee are already paid online, so they are not collected again at your door.
Checkout shows the exact amount payable now, the amount payable on delivery and the total order amount before you confirm.
Fees and Shipping
- Partial COD service fee: ₹39 per order.
- Shipping: ₹79 on orders below ₹799; free on orders of ₹799 or more.
All amounts are shown before you agree to pay.
Examples
₹699 product order: product advance ₹210 + shipping ₹79 + COD fee ₹39 = ₹328 payable now. ₹489 payable on delivery. Total paid across both stages: ₹817.
₹1,249 product order: product advance ₹375 + free shipping + COD fee ₹39 = ₹414 payable now. ₹874 payable on delivery. Total: ₹1,288.
Order Confirmation
Your partial-COD order is confirmed, reserved and dispatched only after the advance payment succeeds. If the advance payment fails, no order is created and nothing is shipped. Unpaid orders expire after the payment window shown at checkout.
Refused or Failed Delivery and Refunds
If a delivery is refused or cannot be completed, we will try to contact you first. We may deduct only actual delivery costs that were disclosed to you in advance; your advance is not automatically forfeited. If the failure is our fault, we refund everything you paid.
